More Pictures

Going through the goodies Grammy brought
Please excuse how I look, no makeup or shower yet! Eeek, maybe Courtney shouldn't have been that close

Teehee, Elijah knows where the goods are. You must be edible Aunt Tatey ;)

Easter!!

The Egg Hunt!

Lydia's Easter outfit
She wasn't satisfied until she got all the way to the bottom. Notice she already has chocolate on her face.
Elijah looked so tired in all his pictures, but here is his enjoying one of his toys before Lydia stole it.

Lydia enjoying her Easter basket.

Sunday morning the kids got to open their baskets. Lydia of course "helped" Elijah with his. Courtney and Grammy were able to come over and celebrate with a breakfast. Thanks for getting up so early to be with us, I know it's your all's day to sleep in. Then in the afternoon it was time for Lydia to really show her stuff in our Easter Egg Hunt. It took me pointing out just one of the eggs and then she was off. We later went to the park since it was such a beautiful day. There were many families there celebrating also, and we came across one that was setting out Easter eggs for their kids and Lydia thought it was for her. She was so cute trying to snatch up those eggs as the lady hid them. I think next year we might have a serious contender for the UT egg hunt!

Happy 6 months Eli!

Elijah went to the doctor this week for his 6 month check-up. Going into it I was very anxious to see how heavy my little man was getting. So when the nurse finally got around to weighing him I had made a guess in my mind that he was going to be probably 21 lbs. Boy was I wrong! Apparently my little guy has finally slowed down a little and was on 19 lbs on the nose! So he is stating to get that Cruze body, long and lean, but still has my thighs (sorry Eli). Ohh, and he made an amazing discovery... his feet!

Lydia also had her 2 year check up and she was actually pretty good for it. We have gone through this phase where she is terrified of the doctor. This time is was much better. Lydia is still our feather-weight coming in at 24 lbs 15 oz, and 34 inches tall.

How did I become so blessed to have such great and healthy children?!

1st Easter post

OK, we kind of had an Easter Weekend. This is what we did Saturday. UT Agriculture campus was having an Easter egg hunt at their Garden, and we just HAD to go! Unfortunately it was freezing cold and at the end it started to rain on us. The whole idea to do this, of course, was mine. However, when I made the plans it was supposed to be sunny and 70! Everyone was a trooper for the most part (Michael made a comment on the way home about how he was freezing, but everyone else was great). Lydia had zero interest in the petting zoo (it actually was only 2 lambs). Initially she was a little skeptical of the Easter bunny, but eventually warmed up to him and only wanted to wave to him and give him "low" fives when asked for them. We had to nearly drag her away from the bunny and the cookie decorating station so we could do the egg hunt. (When I say cookie decorating, Lydia had no interest in the decorating part, just the cookie eating part... just like her daddy!) Needless to say, she was late for the egg hunt and only got 3 eggs, but it was good practice for ours on Easter Sunday... more on that to come.

More Video's

Over the last two days Lydia has taken to asking me to lay Elijah down for a nap or to let him "Jumpy" when she wants time with her mommy by herself. While I think this is cute as can be, she doesn't always get her way. Now, with that said, let me set you up for the video you are about to watch. I was in the middle of cleaning up a mess that Lydia made with some papers so I sat Elijah in his bathtub on the floor next to me so I knew he wouldn't fall over (he hasn't completely mastered the sitting yet). Well, Lydia was of course in there "helping" me pick up. This is what happened next.

Thanks mom

So, one of Lydia's many favorite gifts from her birthday was what my mom and sister got her. They got this great art easel that does magnets and dry erase also. Well, Lydia LOVES sitting on the stool. We have it set up in our family room. The other day we were having waffles (whole grain and with light syrup... since the family is on a diet) and I handed Lydia her plate and told her to go sit at the table and start eating. Well, she must have though something other than what I said because this is what I found:Here Lydia is sitting at her "table" watching her show, having her breakfast! Too cute.

Happy Birthday Again :)

Ok, I know this is late, but we actually (Lydia, Elijah, and myself) celebrated on Lydia's birthday also. We did things that she loves to do. We went to the park and she ran and played till SHE was asking to go. (It actually only took 1 1/2 hours!) Then we had lunch with daddy, who was working. Then we played all kinds of games with her toys and colored (she calls it "picture"). Here is a picture of her on her actual birthday.
